Rental terms & conditions

These terms apply to all equipment rentals by YACHTGEAR.PRO SARL ("Yachtgear.pro") to professional clients (yachts, management companies, shipyards, contractors). The quotation and these terms together form the rental contract. If they conflict, the quotation wins.

All prices on the website include French VAT (20%). Delivery is charged as shown on the website or quotation. For vessels that qualify for VAT exemption (for example commercial yachts meeting the conditions of article 262 II of the French tax code, with the required certificate), the quotation and invoice show the price excluding VAT.

A rental is only confirmed once the client accepts the quotation in writing (email or WhatsApp) and any deposit or pre-authorisation is in place. Equipment is reserved for the confirmed dates only.

The rental runs from delivery (or collection from the hub) to return or collection. Each started day is charged. Extensions depend on availability and must be agreed in writing before the original end date.

Dockside delivery and collection are charged as shown on the quotation. The client must name a crew member to receive the equipment. At hand-off, Yachtgear.pro or the partner hub shows how to operate the machine and the client confirms the equipment is complete and in working order.

A refundable deposit or card pre-authorisation may be required per machine, stated on the quotation (for example €5,000 for the 600kW load bank). It is released after the equipment has been returned and inspected, normally within 7 days.

Equipment must be used by competent crew, following the operating guidance and the manufacturer’s instructions, only on board the vessel named in the quotation, and must not be sublet or moved to another vessel without written agreement. Consumables (pads, brushes, chemicals) are charged separately unless included in the quotation. The pulse laser and load bank may only be used under the conditions and safety measures confirmed in the quotation.

From hand-off until return, the client (the yacht and/or ordering management company) is responsible for the equipment. Normal wear is included. Damage beyond normal wear, missing parts, and loss or theft are charged at repair cost or replacement value, less any deposit retained. Equipment must be returned clean; heavy cleaning may be charged. Yachtgear.pro is not liable for indirect losses, and its liability is limited to the rental price paid, except in cases of gross negligence.

If the equipment fails through no fault of the client, contact us immediately on WhatsApp. We will repair or replace it as fast as reasonably possible, and the days the machine was unusable will not be charged.

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the planned delivery. Within 48 hours: 50% of the rental price. Once the equipment has been dispatched: 100% of the first day plus delivery and collection costs.

Payment by bank transfer or card, as stated on the quotation and invoice, due on receipt unless otherwise agreed. Late payments bear interest at three times the French legal interest rate plus the €40 fixed recovery fee (art. L441-10 Code de commerce).

If the client buys the same model from Yachtgear.pro within 30 days of the rental, 50% of the rental price paid (excluding delivery and consumables) is credited against the purchase.

French law applies. Any dispute that cannot be settled amicably goes to the Tribunal de commerce de Nice.
